Brownies the day AFTER 4.20
Ever the helpful side kick in the kitchen.  Including leaving torn paper towel rolls on the floor...

Blueberry and maple bacon pancakes smothered in dark maple syrup and an oh so sultry fried egg wears the crown.

Stack em up and knock em down.  Oh Torchys how we miss you.

Really the highlight of the week.  And the beer.  Damn.  We are loved.

The view on a partially overcast day looking toward Astoria.

Downtown Astoria view to the ocean.

On 4.20 we all act extra goofy...  Waiting for Josh while at his interview at the Dispensary.

Find Gertie!

Gertie at Gearhart Seaside Park

Moody afternoon on the beach in Gearhart.

Had the Gearhart Beach all to myself one afternoon.

He eats sand.  He poops sand.  The life of a beach husky.

Some days the weather puts on a dazzling show.

Vitamin D

Grey skies and stormy weather calls for a lazy Sunday filled with intense gaming sessions and a coffee buzz.

Zip lining skills are paying off at home - Hanz has a new dog run!
Hey Duck, come a little closer so I can eat you.  It will be so much fun!

I love my new toy.

I mean look how cute my new squeaky toy is?

I'm such a happy dog.

We're gonna be best buds forever.

Even in death, still best buds.

Slowly getting out and exploring on the days that aren't too stormy.

Our problem, if you'd like to call it that, is we get way too cozy and any plans of exploring turns into lounge afternoons with music sessions, java brewing, baking parties of all kinds, Sons of Anarchy marathons, technical gaming strategies and enjoying the rain from the comforts of the couch.

We know how to chill.

And we are baking one hell of a little getaway home together here.

This Moment of Magic

Tuesday, April 18, 2017

I have everything that I need right now.

When I allow myself to stop trying to make life work for me.

Then it works.

That magic.

It's with me (and you) all the time.

I just have to allow it to shine.

I've started an online course called, Intuitive Plant Medicine, and I'll be using this blog as my journal.

The course will begin on May 1st and last for 8 weeks.

So if you want to get down and extra dirty with me.

Let's play!

And... GO

I got on my mat this morning.

It was messy.

I had/ have dog fur on my yoga pants.

I was out of breath.

It was rough.

But.

It was also just what I needed.

After sitting with a cup of tea and just listening to the rain for a few moments.

I checked in with myself.

Not for very long.

But it's a start.

I've got a lot of work to do.

But you gotta start somewhere.

Parks and Rec + Tacos
Moody Dining

Wind Advisory today has us staying extra cozy.

Finally catching up on old books and inspired by Josh while he creates music.

This husky keeps us entertained.

He chases his tail when he gets frustrated with us for not paying attention to him.

Sandy Sasquatch

Thursday, April 6, 2017

Hello Thursday.

Just a few items to note.

Living near the beach invites sand into the house.

I've found it in the bed.

On the sofa.

And it almost always seems to be on my feet.

It's kinda cool.

In a gross, you're dirty kinda way.

Hmmmm....

Maybe I should just delete all of the above.

I swear I'm not a dirty person.

I swiffer the sand (and husky fur) daily!

Just making an observation.

Currently lounging in the music room.

Hanz is sleeping in a weird position on the floor next to me.

The aroma of shepherd's pie is drifting through the house.

My tummy is growling.

The sun just went back into hiding and it's grey outside again.

Josh should be home from work soon.

He informed me that he was on Sasquatch duty today.

Yep.

He is wearing a Sasquatch suit and is instructed to scare the customers at a certain point.

For real.

This is his job.

Zip Lining Tour Guide + Sasquatch Scarer

My man is so cool.

Oh I don't have sand on me at the present moment... just husky fur.

Promoting and perfecting the art of relaxation.

E.A.T.

Typical weather is close to mid-50s during the day.

Low 40s at night.

It rains/ drizzles half the week.

The sun shines the other half.

It's quite the mix really.

And perfect for baking and culinary practice.
